Sui is a Layer 1 built by former Meta engineers around the Move language. Its object model is designed so unrelated transactions can settle in parallel.

- Sui Move is designed to make asset ownership explicit, which reduces some classes of reentrancy and lost-asset bugs. It does not remove all contract risk.
- Simple transactions that do not touch the same objects can be checked without full consensus, often in a few hundred milliseconds.
- zkLogin and sponsored transactions are built in, so users can sign in with a social account and a sponsor can pay gas.

The cap is 10 billion SUI. The token is staked, pays gas, and is used in governance votes.
